Thomas Thangam was born in 1973 in Pudukkottai, India. In 1995, he received a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University in India, and in 2005, he gained a Master of Engineering in Power Electronics and Drives from Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology at Anna University in India. He joined Mount Zion College of Engineering and Technology in Pudukkottai as an assistant professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2002. He completed his doctorate in the title 'Implementation Of High Gain Dc-Dc Converters In Pv Fed Single Phase Grid Connected System With Optimized Closed Loop Control' from Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education. Currently employed as an Assistant Professor at the International Maritime College of Oman in Sohar, Sultanate of Oman. His research interests include power electronics, photovoltaic systems, power systems, renewable energy sources, and control system engineering. He has 25 years of teaching experience and 3 years in the industry. His contributions have appeared in 15 international publications and conferences.
