Dr. S. Oswalt Manoj is a committed academician and researcher currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Alliance University, Bengaluru. With extensive experience in teaching, research, mentoring, and academic leadership, he has guided several Ph.D. scholars and contributed to doctoral committees under Anna University, Chennai. He holds a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, where his research focused on deep learning–based rainfall prediction for agricultural applications, and also earned his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University and its affiliated institutions. His research interests include machine learning, deep learning, big data analytics, cloud computing, and quantum computing. Dr. Manoj has published widely in reputed international journals and conferences and contributed to several book chapters and edited volumes with leading academic publishers. His work spans both theoretical and applied domains, and he actively participates in research dissemination, peer review, and editorial activities for various journals and professional associations. As a mentor, he has guided student teams in national and international hackathons and innovation challenges and has delivered guest lectures and served as a resource person in numerous Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), conferences, and academic forums. He has also held several academic leadership roles, including R&D Cell Coordinator, PG & Ph.D. Coordinator, Deputy Controller of Examinations, Design and Innovation Cell Lead, and Institutional Website Coordinator, while actively contributing to the advancement of computing and engineering education through research, innovation, and collaborative engagement.
